Contacts can be used for personalizing and sending proposals and invoices.
The "Salutation Line" Variable
By default, when creating a new proposal or invoice, the company's details are automatically inserted: invoicing address and the email for dispatch. Both can be overridden at the project level. Introductory and closing texts are applied as predefined globally or for the client.
In the introductory text, the "Salutation Line" variable can be used. Without selecting a contact, the default "Dear Sir or Madam" is output (instead of in image 3).

Personalize Salutation
When a contact is assigned (2), it controls the salutation line accordingly. This can be individually defined per contact in the "Salutation Line" field (1 + 3). If no individual salutation is defined, MOCO uses the defaults: Ms. -> "Dear Ms. *Last Name*", Mr. -> "Dear Mr. *Last Name*", Neutral -> "Hello *First Name* *Last Name*".

Recipient Address and Email Adjusted by Contact Selection
If there is no different address available for the contact, MOCO only adds the name to the client address (by default, this is inserted in the second line of the address – can be adjusted for the client if needed). The email address stored with the contact is automatically set for email dispatch.
Email Dispatch
During email dispatch, the email address stored for the customer, project, or invoice (overriding in this order) is automatically pre-filled. CC addresses can also be predefined at the customer and project level, and a general BCC address can be set at the account level.
Additional email recipients can be added directly via find-as-you type (start typing, and MOCO will suggest existing contacts).

Birthdays
Contacts > Birthdays
Here, all recorded birthdays for contacts and staff for the next 3 months are displayed.

Birthdays will only be shown if they are recorded for individuals (staff or contacts). The date can also be deleted later if needed (GDPR). If you still want to keep the information purely for the "personnel file," the birth date can also be recorded in the general "additional info" field.
As before, birthdays will also be mentioned in the personal weekly info (email).
You can also display a tile for upcoming birthdays on the customizable reports dashboard.

Access on the go
The business contacts (contacts, companies, employees) from MOCO can also be accessed via smartphone. Through CardDAV, they are synchronized and thus always up to date – for every employee. The synchronization always occurs in one direction only: Away from MOCO. MOCO is therefore the management center. If a contact needs to be adjusted, it must be changed in MOCO for the corresponding synchronization.
Here's how
1. Activate CardDAV in the settings.
2. Add MOCO account to the address book.
3. Use the CardDAV password from the personal profile as the password.
