Cloud Software
Independent of Location and Platform
MOCO is cloud software and works independently of operating system and platform. You can access your data from anywhere via login. The software is used in an internet browser: Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari in the latest versions.
As no installation is required on your device (computer, iPad), there are no setup costs. Your data cannot be lost if your own device crashes.
The additional free smartphone apps (iOS and Android) for time tracking and personal expenses are synchronised automatically. You and your employees install these apps as usual via the App Store.
Always Up to Date
As MOCO is web-based software, all users automatically work on the latest version at all times. Updates happen regularly and automatically, and do not affect day-to-day work.
DSG/GDPR

SSL Encryption
Data is accessed via SSL. SSL is an encryption protocol that enables the transfer of private data over public networks (also used, for example, in online banking). All interaction with MOCO is therefore encrypted and private.
Where Is My Data?
IWB Data Centre – Independent of External Services
MOCO is hosted in Switzerland on managed servers by our in-house partner Netskin GmbH in the IWB (Industrielle Werke Basel) data centre in Basel – independent of external services. The IWB data centre is the largest carrier-neutral data centre in the North-West Switzerland region. Uncompromising technology design and implementation ensure maximum operational reliability.
Meets the Standards of EU Data Protection Law
The data is subject to Swiss data protection law, which is equivalent to EU data protection law. For Switzerland, the level of data protection required by the GDPR was confirmed by the European Commission in a formal decision: 2000/518/EC.
All data centres are powered by renewable energy (as of 01/03/2024).Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
The Additional Security Layer for MOCO
Each company decides for itself whether it wants to enable 2FA. This ensures that only the relevant user can access their account and sensitive data – even if someone else knows their personal password. To access sensitive areas within MOCO, the user is prompted to enter a code. This code is available on the user’s smartphone and changes every 30 seconds. » More information and how to enable 2FA

Costs
One Price – Everything Included
Under the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, a monthly fee is charged. Compared with permanently installed or in-house software, this avoids surprisingly high additional costs for setup, maintenance, and updates. The monthly price also includes convenient, personal in-app support, which helps with both general questions and specific issues.
Backup and Control
Backups
A full backup is created twice a day, and incremental backups are created every minute in between to minimise the risk of data loss. If you cancel your MOCO account, you can use all » Export Options in advance. If you have any further requirements, simply get in touch with us.
Access Control
The hardware is located in the IWB Telekom Basel data centre. The data centre is certified to ISAE 3402 SSAE 16 Type II. The only people with access via chip card and PIN are two members of our team.
