Marketing, Training, etc. Capture expenditure budgets for 2024 and allocate incoming invoices and fixed costs. This way, you always have an eye on the actual and planned status.

Activate Option
You can activate the option in the settings under "Expenditures" > "Budgets".
Record Budgets
Once activated, a new menu item "Budgets" will appear in the side navigation (see illustration). You can access it with a single click via the blue link offered immediately after activation. Record the budgets there.
Assign Expenditures and Fixed Costs
Upon activation, the option to assign expenditures and fixed costs becomes available. Assign everything for 2024 now. Done!

Budgets vs. Categories
Categories can only be assigned at the item level for incoming invoices and personal expenses and are particularly useful for bookkeeping preparation. Budgets, on the other hand, encompass all types of expenditures and provide an easily controllable overall overview. This allows, for example, cost centres to be represented.

Planned Expenditures
Currently, planned expenditures are displayed as fixed costs and expenditures with future dates.
Planned expenditures as a new feature will enhance the view in the coming weeks – making expenditure forecasting even more manageable.
Budgets with Amount 0
Use a budget with an amount of 0 if you only want to see the total - for example, "Room Rent"
Different Fiscal Year
The budgets refer to the calendar year. We ask accounts with a different fiscal year to be patient.
