Flexible Additional Services – Now Available with Fixed Pricing.

Previously, fixed-price projects only offered the options Within Budget or Not Within Budget. To cover more use cases without detours, MOCO now offers all combinations (1).

NEW: Within Budget + Billable

• Additional services are covered by the fixed-price budget but should still be itemized on the invoice.
• Personal expenses or external costs can be part of the budget progress but still offered for invoicing.
• Previously, costs were recorded as "Within Budget" and thus not offered for invoicing.

NEW: Not Within Budget + Not Billable

• Freelancers log hours on the project, and their incoming invoice is assigned (set internal hourly rate to 0).
• The incoming invoice is only considered as a cost item on the project.
• Previously, the invoice was recorded as "Not Within Budget" and thus offered for invoicing, requiring manual adjustment to already invoiced.

PREVIOUSLY: Not Within Budget + Billable (2)

• Additional services are invoiced based on effort.
• They are not part of the fixed price (= project budget) and are therefore automatically offered for invoicing.

PREVIOUSLY: Within Budget + Not Billable

• Additional services are included in the fixed price.
• The client is only billed the fixed price as a lump sum (e.g., via proposal).
• All services (e.g., external costs/personal expenses) are compared against the project budget to monitor how much of the offered services have already been delivered.
