Advent Calendar: A Daily Knowledge Snack for You.

On December 1st, a little news break: We've put together an Advent calendar that unobtrusively offers a tip every day. The pros among you probably know most of the tips already (hopefully) – everyone else can benefit greatly from them in their daily work.

Unobtrusive because the bell at the top won't ring red every day – it only does so in December for "real news".

Did you know that ...

*1*  ... in a meeting, only one person needs to track time – and then share it with others?
→  Select “Share” next to the time entry on the right.

*2*  ... you can now define a different font (or style) for headings yourself?
→  In the settings under “Fonts”.

*3*  ... you can use a shortcut to access the global search and quickly reach your target?
→  Shift + 7

*4*  ... you can add services to already created invoices afterwards?
→  Select “Billable Items” under “New Position”.

*5*  ... you can optionally attach terms and conditions, team page, price list to proposals?
→  Upload designed PDF pages in the settings.

*6*  ... @Nicola notifies your colleague Nicola – about projects, invoices, expenditures, etc.?
→  Type @ under “Notes & Files” ...

*7*  ... you don't need to switch to the MOCO browser tab for time tracking?
→  Use the quick access via the browser extension.

*8*  ... deactivated persons with an ongoing weekly model still appear in reports? End the weekly model on the exit date!
→  Check under “Personnel” > Target hours.

*9*  ... you can disable or enable the personal weekly info email? It includes: Review (time tracking), Preview (planning), and Birthdays.
→  Select the appropriate setting in your profile at the top right.

*10*  ... you can now switch from credit card to direct debit (EUR invoices)?
→  Edit the payment method under Subscription in the settings (Account holder).

*11*  ... time entries can be moved or copied with drag & drop?
→  Click and drag the time entry. Hold the Alt key for copying.

*12*  ... you can switch users? For example, to see how changed permission settings affect them?
→  Select “Switch User” under “Personnel” on the right.

*13*  ... you can display remaining hours in time tracking for project and service budgeting?
→  In the settings under “Time Tracking” display.

*14*  ... you can now also enter half days via the series entry for holidays?
→  In planning under “Absences” at the top right.

*15*  ... you can quickly jump from person to person? For example, to transfer the holiday balance?
→  Select “Next Person” at the top right of the person.

*16*  ... you can determine the order of predefined standard services as well as services within the project?
→  Simply change the order by dragging the services.

*17*  ... you can now hide the total sum area in proposals if needed?
→  Watch for the eye icon on the right.

*18*  ... you can record an individual discount or surcharge using a detail position?
→  Simply enter: Quantity → Percentage, Unit → %, Unit Price → Amount.

*19*  ... you can reach your goal faster with shortcuts in the project list?
→  F → Filter &  Q → Your Projects.

*20*  ... you can now use the automatic forwarding of incoming invoices?
→  Set up automatic forwarding from e.g. invoice@mycompany.com to the MOCO email.

*21*  ... you can predefine that the associated timesheet is automatically attached when invoicing expenses?
→  Check the box in the billing info at the top under “Invoicing” in the project.

*22*  ... you can adopt the amounts for fixed costs from last year with a click?
→  In the settings under “Expenditures” > “Fixed Costs”.

*23*  ... you can adjust the internal hourly rate on an annual basis?
→  Check the linked knowledge article in the settings under “Services” and enter amounts.

*24*  ... you can insert a page break in the introduction and closing text with --- (three dashes)?
