The Holiday Account That Only Knows Days.
MOCO's previous holiday model was purely based on the recorded target hours per day. This ensures an accurate and therefore fair calculation, even for part-time employees. In today's flexible working world, it allows for adherence to the principle of equality. However, feedback indicates two camps: some prefer a simple daily deduction. So, we've made a move and introduced this selectable alternative.
Comparison of Models
Max works full-time. Tim works 90% – he works 6 instead of 8 hours on Wednesdays and Fridays. Both Max and Tim take an extended weekend.
→ Max has 2 days deducted – regardless of the model.
→ Tim has precisely 1.75 days deducted by hours, 2 days by days.

Our Recommendation
Choose daily precision if all employees work full-time or have the same daily hours.
Choose hourly precision for many part-time employees with varying daily hours.

Settings
Select under "Planning" in settings
- Daily Precision – Balance and entitlement in days, independent of daily target
- Hourly Precision – Balance and entitlement in hours according to daily target
It can also be switched on a trial basis without "breaking anything." Half days can still be used in the daily precision model.
