Purchases: New Format for Payment Orders

Banks will switch to the new payment format pain.001.001.09 by the end of 2026. MOCO is ready and already generates payment orders in this format.

How to create a payment order in MOCO in pain.001.001.09 format
The new format requires the recipient’s address in a structured form. For MOCO to generate the payment order, the supplier’s billing address must include at least the postcode, town/city, and country. This applies in the following cases:
  • Switzerland: for all payments.
  • SEPA area (more specifically: EU/EEA): only for payments outside the SEPA area.
When you generate a payment order, MOCO checks whether the billing address is stored correctly — and, if anything is missing, points out the missing details (1). You can then update the supplier in the new tab and trigger a new check via "Refresh" (2). If everything is in order, you can create the payment order.
