Case Study: How Erdt ArtWorks Switched from Revolver to MOCO After 15 Years

After more than 15 years with Revolver Office, Erdt ArtWorks took the leap – and completed the switch to MOCO in just one week.

From Revolver to MOCO in a single week: what followed was clearer oversight, more enjoyment in time tracking, and a CRM process that finally works automatically.

The Agency at a Glance

Erdt ArtWorks is a full-service advertising agency based in Viernheim. The eleven-strong creative team supports mid-sized businesses across all areas of visual communication – from communications strategy and corporate design to websites and digital assets, as well as professional management and sales presentations. Clients include BASF, Deutsche Bahn, and the Lufthansa Group.

In this case study, Falko Keller, CEO & Managing Director Marketing, talks about the switch to MOCO.

Starting Point: 15 Years of Revolver Office

Revolver Office had been in use since 2009 – and the signs of that long period were visible everywhere. Over the years, we built structures and processes that were closely shaped around the software. The problem: the software barely evolved, but our requirements did.

What remained was a system of time-consuming manual processes, little innovation, and hardly any smart workflows. The need to act was clear – all that was missing was the right alternative.

Why We Chose MOCO

The decision process was quick at its core. MOCO is exactly what we imagine a smart solution for an agency to be: simple, intuitive, fast, and not overloaded. No unnecessary features, but all the ones you actually need.

The final deciding factors were the mobile app and the AI features MOCO has introduced recently. For a creative team, that is not a side note – it makes a real difference day to day.

MOCO in Day-to-Day Agency Work

Today, we use almost the full range of MOCO’s features – from new business and quotes to project delivery and time tracking, right through to invoicing and upstream bookkeeping. We only handle project planning slightly differently. Everything else is covered in MOCO.

A good example of how MOCO has changed our processes is our lead management for presentation enquiries: every day, we receive several requests via our website – for example, for company presentations or PowerPoint slide master templates. These enquiries are now automatically transferred into MOCO as a lead, including budget, timing, and contact person. Via the MS Teams integration, the responsible colleagues are notified straight away – right through to push notifications on the company mobile.

Before, this was a large email inbox with lots of manual effort. Today, it is an automated, reliable process.

MS Teams remains the backbone of our communication. MOCO is the backbone of our processes. The two complement each other well.

More recently, we have also been using AI-supported time tracking – and, since not long ago, the MCP connection too. That means we can now speak directly with our company figures.

The Switch – and What Changed

We completed the changeover between Christmas and New Year within a week – including transferring all data from the old system. For a system change after 15 years, it went remarkably smoothly. We also used the migration tool for switching from Revolver to MOCO – which made the move very straightforward for us.

The team was sceptical at first, as is often the case with change. But as soon as colleagues got hands-on with MOCO, the mood shifted quickly. The moment we explained that time tracking via AI voice input – including on your phone – is possible, it sparked curiosity. After that, the rest was easy.

What has changed since then: people are more willing to track time, and they do it in more detail than before. Awareness of the profitability of individual projects has increased thanks to MOCO’s transparent performance view. And for running the agency itself, the clear presentation of all relevant KPIs is a real win.

Conclusion

The biggest benefit of MOCO for Erdt ArtWorks can be summed up in one simple point: it is enjoyable to use. For a creative team, that is not a minor detail – it is the basic requirement for making sure essential tasks like time tracking, quotes, and invoices actually get done, reliably, and with confidence.

Smart, fast, clear, and with everything an agency needs – no more and no less. If your agency recognises similar structures and you can see your current software is no longer keeping up, MOCO offers a solution that does things differently.

I’m looking forward to an exciting future in agency life, and I’m convinced that innovative, smart tools like MOCO mean we’re well prepared for what’s ahead.
