CSV Export
With the file interface, invoice data can be exported in the appropriate format for Banana. This means the export has been adapted for Banana (Excel-like).
Accrued
Since small businesses usually handle accounting based on accrued revenues, this integration is optimized for this case. Accrued means: The revenue is credited to the payment date, which also affects tax assessment.
Incoming and outgoing invoices in the account currency (CHF) are considered. Foreign currencies are not covered and would have to be handled manually as before.

Setup & Workflow
Setting up
Since the focus is on accrued, instead of debtor and creditor numbers (or accounts), the bank account is listed in the accounting settings (Settings > Accounting > General). Debtor and creditor numbers are irrelevant.

Standard Revenues: 3400 (Service revenues)

Standard for Creditors: 1020 (Swiss chart of accounts SME)
Standard Expenses: 4400 (Expenses for purchased services)
Select invoices and create export
1. Select paid invoices
Go to Invoicing or Expenditures and click on "Payments". Select the month or the desired payments and go to the action "Accounting" at the bottom left. You will then directly access the filtered accounting view.
2. Create accounting export
Create the export at the bottom right via the green button in the filtered accounting view
3. Download booking entries
Download CSV (= booking entries) and documents.
Go to Invoicing or Expenditures and click on "Payments". Select the month or the desired payments and go to the action "Accounting" at the bottom left. You will then directly access the filtered accounting view.
2. Create accounting export
Create the export at the bottom right via the green button in the filtered accounting view
3. Download booking entries
Download CSV (= booking entries) and documents.
On your own
4. Open in Excel (spreadsheet form)
5. Copy-paste booking entries into Banana under “Bookings”
6. Store the documents (files) downloadable from the accounting export alongside.
With a fiduciary
If you want to have as little to do with accounting as possible, work with a fiduciary who takes over exactly that part for you. In this case, you provide your fiduciary with the downloaded csv and the documents for further processing and document filing.
