New Settings for Invoice Structure & Layout.

The new setting for invoice structure offers options for invoicing based on services. Additional formatting settings for proposals & invoices expand the existing settings set.

Hourly Rate by Person but Invoicing by Service

By default, invoicing is done per person if you choose an hourly rate by person in the project. A classic case for this is consulting.

For some time now, there has also been the option to list only the services on the invoice, despite hourly rates by person. However, since different hourly rates are usually combined into one position, which can lead to small rounding differences, you can now choose whether you want a detailed position or a flat-rate position (1).

Formatting for the Position Group Title

The position group was primarily developed for cases where you want to offer clients a service without showing details. However, you want to compile and track the details. Visually, the position group therefore resembles the detailed and flat-rate positions in proposals and invoices.

If you use the option to display details of the position group or even show the detailed positions with amounts, it can make sense to highlight the title of the position group. This is covered by the layout settings "Bold Label" (2). The formatting option applies across accounts for consistent uniformity.

Width for Images and Description

The setting that previously applied to both elements has been split into two separate settings. This allows you to adjust the appearance as needed (3).

Special Settings You Can Order Through Us

  • Show page number from page 2 onwards
Not recommended by us, as the scope of the entire document should be traceable on all pages, but now adjustable if desired.
  • Show page reference line from page 2 onwards
The reference line (which we can display) is not mandatory on page 1 because the document information is already in the header.
  • Reduce the width of the introductory and closing text
This can make sense if, in extreme cases, the text runs very wide and the font is small, as text across the full width can become difficult to read.
